Biotite Mining and Raw Material Supply

NSBM TECH is one of the few companies in Korea that directly mines and processes raw biotite ore.

NSBM TECH has secured biotite (mica) deposits from its own mine located in Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, covering approximately **278 hectares (about 840,000 pyeong)**. The estimated reserves amount to about **83,898,000 tons** (based on one-fourth of the mining area).

The mine was recognized for its potential value of approximately 8.8 trillion KRW as of 2003 (appraised by Technical Expert Shim Sang-rin) and serves as a key foundation for the stable supply of raw materials.

Based on these resource advantages, NSBM TECH has adopted sustainable mining practices to minimize environmental impact and ensures a stable supply of eco-friendly raw materials for the agriculture, environment, and bio industries through high-purity ore extraction and a quality verification system.
